In a recent podcast, Nana shared some anecdotes about Anil. During the conversation, Nana Patekar jokingly called Anil Sharma ‘a rubbish man’.

When Nana Patekar was asked why everyone was afraid of working with him, the actor replied, “Anil Sharma is a rubbish man, after the first 'Gadar' became a hit, he kept telling me every day this is the story, this is that story, but he never came."

Now, 'The Sabarmati Report' declared tax free in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government on Wednesday declared that the film 'The Sabarmati Report', based on the Godhra incident, will be tax-free in the state.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma took to social media platform X to share this information.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the film, the Bhajan Lal government made it tax-free in the state.

CM Sharma posted: "Our government has taken a meaningful decision to make the film 'The Sabarmati Report' tax-free in Rajasthan. This film depicts that horrific period of history, which some selfish elements tried to distort for their vested interests."

Tiger shared a poster of the film. Going by the first look, it seems Tiger is going a shade darker in the film as he is set ong a “bloodier mission.”

Case registered against Badshah by media company over pending overheads

Rapper-singer Badshah, who is known for ‘Jugnu’, ‘Saturday Saturday’ and others, has been sued by a media company in lieu of his failure to honour the payment terms agreed upon in a legal agreement.

The company claimed that all the said services with respect to the production as well as promotion of the track titled ‘Baawla’ were completed. However, the company has levelled allegations that Badshah has failed to clear the dues of those involved in the making of the project.

The matter is currently with the Karnal District Court with CNR Number HRKR010130502024. The case file number is ARB 47/2024. It is also alleged by the complainants that they have resorted to the legal action after multiple reminders. Despite all the positive efforts, Badshah has only given false promises and deferred the payment date, but never released a single penny.

Accused threatening Shah Rukh Khan arrested in Chhattisgarh

A man named Mohammad Faizan Khan, who gave out death threats to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has been arrested in Chhattisgarh.

The accused, a lawyer, was arrested from his residence in Chhattisgarh's Raipur, reports.

He made a threat call to Bollywood’s Badshah and even demanded Rs 50 lakh. He was arrested after he failed to appear before the Mumbai Police.

Earlier, according to the accused his mobile phone, which was used to make the threatening call last week, was stolen. He also said that he filed a police case on November 2.

As per report, a case against him was registered by the police under sections 308(4) (extortion involving threats of death or serious injury) and 351(3)(4) (criminal intimidation) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) as the threat call was made from a phone number registered in his name.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who finds himself in the midst of divorce rumours from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, has something to say on artificial intelligence and natural stupidity.

Tom Cruise in early negotiation for the sequel to ‘Days of Thunder’

Hollywood star Tom Cruise, who was last seen in ‘Mission: Impossible 7’, is currently in early stage of talks with Paramount for a sequel to ‘Days of Thunder’.

'Days of Thunder' was a 1990 NASCAR drama which was directed by the late Tony Scott and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (with his late producing partner Don Simpson), reports report.

No other creatives are in place, and Tom’s full docket, promoting ‘Mission: Impossible 8’, filming Alejandro G. Inarritu’s next movie, and developing another ‘Top Gun’ movie, mean this project is far off from starting its ignition.

As per report, Bruckheimer, who also produced ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, has also been involved in discussions about returning for the project, as per the sources.

New Rs 2-cr extortion-death threat to Salman Khan, Mumbai cops probe

The Worli Police in Mumbai have launched a probe into a fresh extortion-cum-death threat issued to Bollywood megastar Salman Khan, official sources said here on Wednesday.

An anonymous message to the Mumbai Traffic Control Room threatened to kill the superstar if he failed to pay up Rs 2 crore.

Acting swiftly, the Worli Police have registered a case of extortion and death threats against the unknown person and launched a probe.

The latest threat comes barely a couple of days after the Mumbai Police nabbed a 20-year-old youth Mohammed Tayab alias Gufran Khan from NOIDA (Uttar Pradesh) on Monday (October 28), who threatened both Salman Khan and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Zeeshan Siddique.

Gufran Khan is being brought to Mumbai on a transit remand from NOIDA and will be produced before a local court here.

Anil Kapoor starts filming for action-drama movie ‘Subedaar’

The upcoming Anil Kapoor-starrer movie ‘Subedaar’ has gone into production with filming happening at a brisk pace. The film is an action-drama, and stars Anil Kapoor in the titular role. It is helmed by Suresh Triveni, who is known for ‘Jalsa’ and ‘Tumhari Sulu’.

The makers on Wednesday announced the start of filming, and also shared Anil’s look from the film. The film also stars Radhikka Madan in a key role of Anil’s daughter, Shyama, along with an exciting ensemble cast essaying unique characters, which also includes an unhinged antagonist.

The movie is set in the Indian heartland, and follows Subedaar Arjun Maurya as he grapples with the challenges of leading a civilian life, navigates a strained relationship with his daughter and confronts societal dysfunction. Once a soldier who fought for the nation, Subedaar must now battle enemies within, to protect his home and family.

Anil started prepping up for the film as early as June 2024.

The makers on Monday announced the ‘Mirzapur’ movie. Nawazuddin Siddiqui joins Ayushmann Khurrana's ‘Thamba’ as menacing villain

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has reportedly been roped in to play the antagonist in the upcoming vampire comedy ‘Thamba’.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the movie also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.

According to reports, Siddiqui's character in ‘Thamba’ is described as “eccentric yet violent,” originating from the ancient Vijayanagara Empire. A source close to the development was quoted as saying, “Nawazuddin's antagonist has been imagined as an eccentric yet violent character who lived centuries ago. He travels to the present to seek revenge and control the destinies of the two lead characters.”

The forthcoming horror-comedy is anticipated to begin production in late November or early December.

Siddiqui has previously played villains in movies such as ‘Badlapur’, ‘Munna Michael’, ‘Kick’, and ‘Petta’.

Filming for ‘Fauji 2’ begins in Pune, Gauahar says ‘proud to see SRK’s series being reintroduced’

The filming of the sequel of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s maiden project as an actor “Fauji”, has commenced in Pune.

“Fauji 2”, which also stars Vicky Jain as the lead alongside actress Gauahar Khan, is currently being filmed in Pune’s Symbiosis College.

Gauahar, who plays Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur in “Fauji 2”, said in a statement: “It's the first time I’ve agreed to a project without even hearing the script. The moment Sandeep approached me, I said yes because I’m a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan.”

She added: “It’s a surreal feeling to be part of the Fauji universe, and it’s a proud moment to see Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic series being reintroduced.”

Hina shared a closeup picture of her eyelash. She shared the same picture in her stories section and called it “The last leaf.”

Aamir recently appeared on the latest episode of the quiz based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ along with his son Junaid.

The promo shared by the makers of the show on Friday shows the Bollywood superstar saying into the camera, “Don’t tell Amit ji ko pata nahi chalna chaahiye ki hum log aaj show pe hain (Amitabh sir shouldn’t know that we are on the show today)”.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ trailer: This time Rooh Baba has to fight two Manjulikas

The makers of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” have finally unveiled the trailer of the upcoming film, which stars Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit Nene.

On Wednesday, the makers dropped the over-three-minute long trailer of the film, which is set in Kolkata. It begins with the doors of the “haveli” reopening again. It also gives a clearer picture that this time Kartik’s Rooh Baba will not be fighting one but two Manjulikas – one essayed by Vidya Balan, who played the spooky role in the first installment in 2007 and the other played by Madhuri in the upcoming version.

In the third installment, the actor again plays a conman portraying a baba. Actress Triptii Dimri plays his love interest and of course there is Rajpal Yadav, who brings back the endearing character of Chota Pandit.

‘Bigg Boss 18’: Salman Khan urged to convince makers to stop using animals in show

Bollywood superstar and “Bigg Boss 18” host Salman Khan has been requested by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to convince the makers of the controversial reality show to not use animals.

A letter issued by PETA India addressed to Salman with the subject “Urgent Request to Keep Animals Out of Bigg Boss”, read that there are complaints over the “keeping of a donkey in the Bigg Boss house.”

The letter read: “We are being inundated with complaints by members of the public who are deeply distressed over the keeping of a donkey in the Bigg Boss house. Their concerns are valid and must not be ignored.”

Justin Timberlake expresses disappointment on cancelling show due to injury

Singer, songwriter and actor Justin Timberlake recently shared a disappointing post on Instagram about postponing one of his eagerly awaited shows because of an injury.

A lot of fans were delighted to witness him performing at Prudential Center on October 8, Wednesday but Timberlake’s health has to come first.

Timberlake shared: “I’m so sorry to postpone tonight’s show. I have an injury that is preventing me from performing. I’m so disappointed to not see you all but I’m working to reschedule ASAP.”

He added: “I promise to make it up to you and give you the show y’all deserve. Thank you guys for understanding. Appreciate your support always. -JT”

A statement from Prudential Center’s website confirms the show cancellation, reads, “The Justin Timberlake event originally scheduled for October 8, 2024, has been postponed. We are working with the artist’s team on a rescheduled date that we hope to have information on as soon as possible.”

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu shared a glimpse of her daughter Devi’s favourite new book.

Bipasha shared a video of her daughter holding on to her the book titled: “Devi’s Treasury of Nursery Rhymes.”

In the clip, she is seen telling her daughter to read her favourite rhyme from the book as Devi holds on to the treasured gift.

On October 4, Bipasha revealed that her “little lady” Devi is a “shoe lover” already. She posted a motley of moments from her holiday with her family. She posted a video, where Devi was seen trying on her “papa’s” shoes and Bipasha was asking her to not put her tiny foot into it as it is “too big”.

Sunny Kaushal: Success of OTT is not just because of the pandemic

Actor Sunny Kaushal has spoken about how the OTT has been a game changer but at the same time said that its success is not just because of the pandemic.

"After the pandemic happened, there was no way to get your money back as so many films were stuck in the middle of production," Sunny, who is the younger brother of Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal said.

He shared that OTT has become the main space for “content consumption.”

"That's when OTT really came into the picture. Years ago, pre-pandemic, nobody could have imagined OTT becoming such a major player in the industry. Today, it’s the main space for content consumption. The platforms have revolutionised the way stories are told, and the variety is immense."
