Chandigarh, 20 Feb || TC - "Chintan Shivir 2025" was organised by the Ministry of Power, Government of India under the chairmanship of Minister of Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, Sh. Manohar Lal.
This meeting with the states of the northern region focused on the topic "Indian Power Sector: Challenges and Transformative Reforms for Reliability, Affordability and Sustainability".
In this meeting, the integrated rating of DISCOMs was released, in which Haryana got the first position. Both the electricity distribution corporations of Haryana, North Haryana and South Haryana got first and second place.
Energy Minister, Government of India, Sh. Manohar Lal released the integrated rating of DISCOMs. While launching it, he announced the consumer service rating of DISCOMs, distribution utility ranking and incentive scheme for smart meters.
Financial viability of the power sector in Haryana, RDSS, demand forecasting, development of storage, handling transmission constraints, planning for data center and EV infra, resource adequacy 2030, cyber security, RE consumption were appreciated as per the agenda.
It also appreciated the fast pace of work under RDSS including smart meter works and use of data analytics, demand response, use of artificial intelligence for forecasting supply and demand, planning of load requirements for data center and electric vehicles and village renewable consumption responsibility schemes.
Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary/Secretary of Energy/Power Department, Chairman and Managing Director/Managing Director of State DISCOMs, officers of Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand participated in the regional meeting organised by the Ministry of Power, Government of India in the form of ‘Chintan Shivir’.
Today, Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana Energy Department, Sh. AK Singh, Managing Director, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Sh. A. Sreenivas and Managing Director of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Sh. Ashok Kumar Meena participated in the 'Chintan Shivir 2025' of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
