MP CM Distributes E-Scooters to Top Performing Students

Bhopal, 5 February || TC - The government of Madhya Pradesh, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Wednesday distributed e-scooters to 7,900 outstanding students enrolled in government schools.

These students, from government-operated higher secondary schools for the academic year 2023-2024, received e-scooters as a recognition for their academic achievements.

At an event held at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav personally handed over the keys to around a dozen of these students.

Speaking to the gathered students, Chief Minister Yadav urged them to continue striving for greater success in life. He emphasized the importance of not just academic excellence but also morality and ethics in shaping a better future.

"Merit is important for academic success, but it is also vital to focus on morality and ethics for a better life," he stated.

In a post shared on social media platform X, he wrote, "Every child deserves an education; time, distance, and lack of transport should not be obstacles in their learning journey, and the path to a bright future must be made easier. We are working diligently to achieve this goal."

He further added, "Dear students, study hard and contribute to building a developed Madhya Pradesh. My heartfelt congratulations to all of you and best wishes for a bright future."

School Education Minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh, along with several other ministers, attended the event.

During his address, the School Education Minister explained that the initiative of distributing e-scooters aims to motivate students to work harder and improve their lives.

He also pointed out the disparity between private schools, where parents often spend large sums of money, and the state government’s efforts to support students by providing them with training sessions and various other resources.

This initiative is part of the Madhya Pradesh government's Education Department scheme, which rewards students who score the highest marks in Class 12 in government higher secondary schools across the state.
