Haryana CM, Cabinet to Participate in Maha Kumbh Dip at Triveni Sangam

Feb 6|| TC - Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini and his entire Cabinet will be visiting the Maha Kumbh on Thursday to take the sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three rivers—Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythological Saraswati.

CM Saini departed for Prayagraj this morning and will continue his journey to Ayodhya the following day to offer his prayers at the Ram Temple.

His visit follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in Prayagraj a day earlier, where he took the holy dip at Triveni Sangam and offered prayers to River Ganga. The Prime Minister’s visit was kept brief to minimize the disruption to other devotees while ensuring his safety amid the large crowds.

The ongoing Maha Kumbh, which started on January 13, will continue until February 26. This grand religious gathering has already attracted millions of pilgrims from India and abroad. The attendance at the event is expected to break records, with around 35 crore devotees having already visited the Sangam for the holy dip.

The Basant Panchami Amrit Snan saw lakhs of devotees participating in the ritual, creating a massive crowd from all corners of the country. Despite the tragic stampede during the event, which resulted in 30 deaths and more than 60 injuries, the enthusiasm of the pilgrims remains high.

In light of the tragedy, security measures have been strengthened significantly. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has personally taken charge of overseeing the security arrangements for the event.

The security arrangements were evident during the Basant Panchami dip, where devotees participated peacefully and in an orderly manner at the Sangam. To ensure that no disruptions take place and that all pilgrims are safe, authorities have been working diligently to prepare for another large turnout.

With more devotees expected to arrive today, all measures are being put in place to guarantee a smooth and safe experience for the attendees.
